Available Schools
During 2007, 56 schools were held, training even more teenagers to become safe, responsible drivers--our goal for 2008 is 75 schools, from New Hampshire to California and Florida to Washington.

The primary emphasis of the Tire Rack Street Survival® is a "hands-on" driving experience in real-world situations! We use your own car to teach you about its handling limits and how you can control them.

"Dear Street Survival,
This is Greg from the Street Survival course yesterday. I just wanted to say thank you for holding the event. I really had a blast. It was the most fun I have ever had with a car. Your instructions were excellent and you all seemed very interested in teaching us, and you guys also appear to know what you're talking about.
At first when my dad mentioned Street Survival I was kind of iffy, like maybe it was someone's 'Get Rich Quick' scheme, but when I got there and started listening to you guys talk, and seeing what actually went on those thoughts dissappeared.
I learned a lot from the course and hopefully it will help me, and many other children (and adults) like myself to fully get a feel for their cars. I will be reccomending these events to probably just about anyone I come across now.
You guys mentioned an event on August 26th, I will probably be there. I'm not sure if I will actually drive in the event, but I would definitely enjoy just to come up to watch and maybe hitch a ride with someone. ;)
Once again thanks a ton!"

"We were very impressed with how his (their son, John) driving skills improved in one day last year. His college doesn't allow freshmen & sophomores living on campus to have a car so he's not driving for most of nine months. We're bringing him home for this school, then back to college for a few weeks
before summer break. Next term the car goes to college too."

"Great program! My daughter, Erin, loved it. She talked all the way home about the program and I noticed that she was already using the skills she learned. Thanks again on a great program! My son will be ready in another year."

"I just want to Thank You and your team for an outstanding class. My Daughter (Dominique) and her boyfriend (Ken) can't stop talking about the class. They enjoyed the whole day."

"My son was one of those who participated on Saturday. He just turned 16, has only had his license two months, and was a little apprehensive about going on Saturday. (The whole thing was my idea). He ended up thrilled with the whole experience. It was hard to believe how confidently he was going through the exercises by the end of the day. You certainly accomplished your goals, and for that we're most grateful!
Thank you so much for all the effort to put on this school. We're telling everyone we know about it."

"Thanks for a wonderful Street Survival school. My son is, in my view (since I trained him) a reasonably good driver, but the Street Survival school was still an eye opener for him, particularly how good the poor little 318i is. He never thought the car had that much in it!
Thanks very much to all of you who made this very valuable program available to our teens.
Thanks again for the great session on Saturday at Candlestick. My son had a great time and really learned a lot about what his car can do and how it handles at some of the limits."

"My son, David, really enjoyed himself. Just last night, he told me it's much easier to drive our mountain roads now, and he feels safer doing it. I wanted to send out a big thank you to you, and all the others who put together this great training program for our young drivers."

"Just a note to express our thanks to you and your wonderful band of instructors for holding the Street Survival School. Tom is walking around a foot off the ground. I think we have another motorsports enthusiast in the fold."
Michael Shane
Palm Beach, FL
"I just wanted to thank you." My son Richard and I picked up valuable insight into the way the vehicle handles under extreme conditions. Plus, seeing the ear-to-ear grin on Richard's face each time he was on the skid pad was priceless. The instructors were all excellent and their tireless (no pun intended) efforts are much appreciated. We look forward to the next driving event! I highly recommend this school for new drivers and old ones (like me), too."

"My parents forced me to go [to Tire Rack Street Survival®], and I thought it would be boring. Once I got there it was fun. I got to meet new people.
The training on the ice was valuable. A lot of times people panic and slam on the brakes on ice, which is not always the best thing to do. Now I'll know what to do in a situation like that, and it probably won"t result in a huge accident. I feel safer now because I know what to do. I know my stopping distance on ice."

"Tire Rack Street Survival® was fun. I didn't want to come at first. I thought we'd have to sit in a classroom the whole time. I liked the hands-on experience. This is a lot more hands-on than drivers ed. We had a lot of time to do that on the track. Now I know not to be shocked when an emergency situation happens. I know what to do."
