Available Schools
During 2007, 56 schools were held, training even more teenagers to become safe, responsible drivers--our goal for 2008 is 75 schools, from New Hampshire to California and Florida to Washington.

The primary emphasis of the Tire Rack Street Survival® is a "hands-on" driving experience in real-world situations! We use your own car to teach you about its handling limits and how you can control them.
For Parents
You will be gaining some valuable skills to improve your driving techniques on the road at the Tire Rack Street Survival® School. Your parents are welcome to attend the school all day, if they wish. They will be able to listen to the instructor in the classroom while you are there, and the coaches will be available throughout the day to answer any questions they might have about the course exercises you are going through.
During this one-day class, you won't just sit in a classroom listening to a boring lecture; you will gain valuable new skills to improve your driving techniques on the road. You will be behind the wheel, driving through real-world exercises.

Depending on the location of the event, there may or may not be an indoor classroom. You can check with the local registrar ahead of time to find out about the facilities. Be prepared for whatever the weather may be that day. Be sure to bring sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, etc as you feel necessary for the sunny days. If your local weather may have rain or cooler temperatures, be prepared with an umbrella and warm clothing. Your parents may want to bring a comfortable chair to sit outside to watch the activities, or possibly even have a good book in case they tire of watching the activities. The Tire Rack Street Survival® Schools occur rain or shine -- in fact, rain helps some of the exercises.
Some of the schools may need extra help. If interested in volunteering, your parents should contact the school registrar and let them know they are interested in helping with the school.
